Hot Springs Police Officer Cump reports that he was dispatched to the 200 Block of Linden Street in reference to a complaint of gunfire. Off. Crump arrived and found Bradley Braxton, 58, of parts unknown, laying in the street with a loaded .38 revolver pistol on the ground about 10 feet from him.
A witness at the scene said that she heard 1 gunshot, went outside, saw Mr. Braxton laying in the street with a pistol next to him.
She tried to assist him in getting up, but he was not able to stand or walk due to his level of intoxication. She eventually stopped trying to pick him up. So he laid there until Off. Crump arrived.
Mr. Braxton was convicted of Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance in 2005. Convicted felons can not possesses firearms according to Arkansas Law. He was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Felony Possession Of A Firearm By Certain Persons with a bond of $3,500. An arrest warrant charging Failure To Appear was also served on him at this time.
