Alleged: Fleeing Motorcycle Crashes..Rider Injured – GARLAND COUNTY

Posted by Arkansas 911 News Chief Editor Paul Maddox

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Arkansas State Police Trooper Parker was on patrol in the area of Majestic Lodge Road last night around 8:30PM when he attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a sport motorcycle for an alleged traffic violation.  The motorcycle allegedly did not pull over, it sped away traveling West on Highway 7 West.

The chase passed the Lake Hamilton Superstop at Wacaster Hill and came to an abrupt end as soon as it reached the Holcomb’s Transport & Recovery Shop.  The rider lost control and the bike crashed for unknown reason.  The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and injured.  He was promptly detained.

70 West Fire & Rescue Troops arrived within about 1 minute.  They took charge of traffic control, assisted with patient care and otherwise assisted as needed.

A LifeNet Ambulance Crew arrived quickly and met with the suspect.  It is unknown to me whether the suspect went with the ambulance to the hospital or to the jail with the trooper.

The Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol arrived quickly and assisted as needed.

Holcomb’s Transport & Recovery took charge of the wreckage and removed it from the scene.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 25 minutes.

911 worked this crash so fast, I only had time to grab 2 pics.
