All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Garland County Sheriff’s Investigator Sergeant Ford reports that the GCSO Sheriff’s Patrol was dispatched to a residence on Pirate Drive on February 22, 2021, around 5PM, for the call of Brandy Renee Taylor, 28, of Foxpass Cutoff in Garland County, trespassing.  Before deputies arrived, the complainant called back and said that Ms. Taylor had left the property and the call was cancelled.

Brandy Renee Taylor, 28, of Foxpass Cutoff in Garland County – Allegedly ran over a woman with a Jeep twice.

Around 8PM, a few hours later, the complainant on Pirate Drive called back and told GCSO Dispatchers that Ms. Taylor had returned and was refusing to leave.  An altercation took place and deputies were dispatched back out to that residence.

Deputies arrived and found Ms. Taylor in the driver’s seat of her Jeep, on the road in front of a neighbor’s house.  The complainant was laying in her yard, injured, saying that Ms. Taylor had run her over with the Jeep.

Both Ms. Taylor and the complainant were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators arrived and spoke with the live-in boyfriend of the complainant.  He said that Ms. Taylor is his ex-girlfriend.  He explained that Ms. Taylor had come to the residence and refused to leave, but then left.  The second time she stopped by, the complainant went outside to tell her to leave the property.  The boyfriend was inside the house, heard screaming and went out front to see what was going on.  He says he saw Ms. Taylor driving the Jeep when she reversed it and ran over the complainant in her own yard.

An investigator went to the hospital for statements.  He spoke with the complainant who told him that she went outside, approached the Jeep that Ms. Taylor was in, placed her hand on the door and told her to leave.  An altercation broke out where Ms. Taylor hit the complainant’s hand with a tool causing injury.  The complainant struck back with a glass bottle to the face.  Ms. Taylor responded to that by grabbing the complainant’s hand, accelerated the jeep causing the complainant to fall and get run over the first time.

The report did not include Ms. Taylor’s side of the story.  Whether she even gave a statement is unknown to me.

Ms. Taylor was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  She is Charged with Felony Battery x2 with bond set at $300,000.
