Alleged: DWI Crash On Hwy. 270E At Akers Road; Arrest – GARLAND COUNTY

Garland County Sheriff’s K-9 Deputy Strickland was dispatched to the intersection of Highway 270 East at Akers Road last week around midnight to investigate an injury crash that had just taken place.

Evidence at the scene indicated that the white vehicle and the maroon car collided in the stop light controlled intersection.  The white car came to final rest in the middle of the highway near the area of impact.  The maroon car continued a short distance and stopped on Akers Road.  This was a T-bone type of crash.

Morning Star Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly.  They took charge of traffic control, assisted with patient care, and assisted with clean-up duties.

LifeNet dispatched 2 Ambulance Crews to the scene.  At least 1 person was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

GCSO Sergeant Green arrived to assist with the investigation.  He conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Testing on the driver of one of the vehicles involved.  At the conclusion of the testing, Hendriksan Rashan ones, 31, of Leonard Street in Hot Springs, was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.

Mr. Jones is charged with DWI and Refusal To Submit To Chemical Testing with bond set at $1,000.
