All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police were called to the 200 Block of Rocky Reef Circle last Monday (10/21/2019) for the call of domestic abuse involving a husband, wife and gunfire inside a residence.
HSPD Units arrived, took up positions around the residence and met with the victim (wife). She allegedly reported that she and her husband had been using drugs and arguing for the last 5 days. She allegedly said that she was in the bathroom when her husband, Glasper Brown, 42, of Rocky Reef Circle in Hot Springs, came in behind her holding a semi-automatic gun.
She allegedly went on to say that he saw some of her wet clothes on the floor (it was raining during this event..storming) and began accusing her of having another female in the house with her. She grabbed the clothes and began to exit the bathroom when she allegedly says he fired the gun.
According to the report, she threw the clothes down and fled out the front door with him chasing her. He allegedly caught her in the street, grabbed her by the arm and hair and aggressively dragged her back into the house. A short time later, the victim came outside to find police there. The report says that officers observed bruising on her arm and minor cuts on her hands.
HSPD Patrol Officers attempted to make contact with Mr. Brown over the loudspeaker. Mr. Brown allegedly refused numerous commands to exit the residence. The SWAT Team was called out to handle the barricaded suspect situation.
SWAT attempted to talk him out for a while, but they ultimately fired tear gas into the house. Mr. Brown came out of the house and surrendered. He was arrested and transported to the HSPD Criminal Investigations Office for processing.
A Smith & Wesson 9mm firearm was allegedly recovered from the residence.
Mr. Brown is charged with Felony Aggravated Assault and Domestic Battery with a bond amount totaling $3,500.
