Alleged: Convicted Level 4 Sex Offender Caught Hiding Out In HS; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Detective Plummer reports that Convicted Level 4 Sex Offender Johnny Hall, 69, Homeless in Hot Springs, has been arrested multiple times since March 11/2021, and has not registered with HSPD as the law requires convicted sex offenders to do.  On April 1, 2021, HSPD was notified that Mr. Hall was about to be discharged from the hospital.

Johnny Hall, 69, Homeless in Hot Springs – Allegedly living homeless on the streets of Hot Springs and not registering as a sex offender with local police, as required by law.

Mr. Hall was arrested at the hospital and transported to the detective office.  Mr. Hall was Mirandized and then interviewed.  Det. Plummer asked Mr. Hall if he was homeless.  Mr. Hall said “yes”.  He said that he rode a bus to town and has been homeless in Hot Springs for approximately 2 weeks.

Mr. Hall said that he last registered with police in Mena.  Det. Plummer made contact with the Polk County Sheriff’s Department in Mena.  They said that Mr. Hall is assigned to register with their agency.  However, he has not registered with them since being released from prison in November 2020.

Mr. Hall was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Felony Failure To Comply With Sex Offender Registry Requirements with bond set at $3,500.
