All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Bryant Police, Arkansas State Police Troop A and possibly the Saline County Sheriff’s Patrol came screaming into Garland County with a vehicle pursuit around 1AM this morning.

Bryant PD was in pursuit of a tan Lincoln that allegedly failed to stop for them (presumably) in their jurisdiction.  The reason for the stop is unknown to me.

Garland County Sheriff’s 911 Dispatch announced the pursuit when it passed Crossroads.  GCSO units headed that way.  The pursuit entered Garland County on Highway 70E, continued inbound past the Bypass Ramps.

Hot Springs Police were made aware of the pursuit about this time and a few of their units headed that way to monitor the chase and be available in case assistance was needed.

The suspect vehicle came up to the red light at the Spring Street Intersection where it stopped.  Once the vehicle was stopped, a felony traffic stop was conducted.  All traffic on East Grand came to a stop in this area .  After a couple of minutes, the suspect (unknown name) was arrested and put into the back of a Bryant PD car.  Westbound traffic was turned around through the median cut.  Eastbound traffic flowed normally at this point.

LifeNet was dispatched to the scene to meet with the suspect for unknown reasons.

The vehicle was towed and traffic flow was interrupted for at least 40 minutes.

Any possible criminal charges are unknown to me.  I did not locate the suspect on the Saline County Sheriff’s Booking Roster for today (as of 3PM).
