Alleged: Aggravated Assault With A 9mm Pistol; Felony Arrest – GARLAND COUNTY

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Reedy reports that he was dispatched to the 3100 block of Highway 270 West April 30, 2021, around 8PM in reference to a disturbance in progress.

Dep. Reedy arrived and made contact with the victim.  The victim told Dep. Reedy that he and his uncle, Ray Anthony Monday, 54, of Highway 270 in Garland County, had gotten into an argument.  Mr. Monday became angry with  people coming in and out of the house…they were having a barbecue.  He said that the 4th time he went into the house, he approached Mr. Monday and Mr. Monday pulled out a Taurus 9mm pistol.

Dep. Reedy was shown video of the episode.  The video showed Mr. Monday pull out and aim the gun at the victim.  The video included audio where Mr. Monday is heard daring the victim to walk down the hallway towards him.

Ray Anthony Monday, 54, of Highway 270W in Garland County – Allegedly pulled a pistol on his nephew for coming in and out of the house.

Mr. Monday was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Aggravated Assault On A Family Member with a no bond hold in place.
