All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officer Greene reports that officers observed a green Jeep being operated without headlights on East Grand Avenue on September 14, 2021, around 11PM.
Officers turned on the blue lights and conducted a traffic stop on the Jeep. Officers made contact with the driver and the passenger (also owner of the vehicle), Zachary Shawn Brien, 26, of Badalona Drive in Hot Springs Village. Mr. Brien’s pertinents were checked through the police computer. The check revealed that he was a wanted parole absconder with a search waiver on file.
The driver was not mentioned again in the arrest report.
Parolee Brien was arrested and the vehicle was searched. Officers found a small amount of marijuana in plain view on the center console, 2 glass meth pipes with residue, .5 gram meth and a 3rd pipe packed with burnt marijuana.
Parolee Brien claimed ownership of all dope and dope gear found.
Parolee Brien was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Felony Possession Of Meth, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession Of A Controlled Substance with bond set at $6,000.
