All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Arkansas Community Correction Special Response Team Agent Emerson reports that Parolee Absconder Helen Partain was captured at her residence on Dodge Place in Garland County. Ms. Partain has previously been convicted of felony charges which include Residential Burglary and Possession Of A Controlled Substance. Also, in a previous case of Ms. Partain absconding, she was arrested in the state of New Jersey and extradited back to Arkansas for trial.
Agent Emerson arrived at the Dodge Place location with an arrest warrant and a squad of Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies including K-9 Team Strickland/Sandy.
After realizing that the law was in the yard, the suspect allegedly fled into the back yard and hid under a porch. The officers explained that either she come out and surrender or Sandy the K-9 Dog would come in and visit her under the porch. Ms. Partain came out and cooperated.
She was arrested, transported to the Garland County Detention Center and charged with Parole Violation and Fleeing.
No injuries were reported in connection to this event.
