2018 IRS Refund Schedule
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Arkansas Community Correction Special Response Team Agent Emerson reports that Parolee Absconder Paul Gordon was captured in an apartment complex on Phadral Point.
ACC/SRT and Garland County Sheriff’s Deputies developed information that put Mr. Gordon in the apartment and armed with a pistol. Mr. Gordon has felony convictions in Arkansas. Convicted felons may not possess a firearm in the state of Arkansas. Mr. Gordon is currently an alleged absconder from his parole agreement with the state.
Learning this, ACC/SRT Agent Emerson and GCSO CID Lieutenant Ware assembled patrol deputies, Arkansas State Troopers…and they all headed to Phadral Point.
Once on scene, the officers all jumped out, surrounded the place, made contact with the suspect and effected a peaceful surrender. Mr. Gordon was allegedly in possession of a .45 caliber handgun at the time of this arrest. The entire on scene operation lasted approximately 20 minutes.
Paul Gordon was re-introduced to the system. His first order of business is answering for yesterday’s charges stemming from the Phadral Point bust yesterday. Those Garland County charges include Parole Violation and Possession Of A Firearm By Certain Persons. He is being held on zero bond.
When Garland County is finished with him, he will be extradited to Pulaski and Lonoke Counties, where his parole stems from to begin with. Mr. Gordon is a documented member of the “Sureno 13” street gang.
Mr. Gordon has previous felony convictions that include possession Of A Firearm By Certain Persons and Possession With Intent To Deliver Cocaine.
No injuries were reported in connection with this event.
