Hot Springs Police Officer Davis and Sergeant Zaner report the following:

On 07/29/19 at approximately 2212 hours I, Off Davis 141 conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Cruz for driving through a private drive between Linwood and Murray Street.  I made contact with the driver Jessica Dye.

Jessica Neal Dye, 35, of Garland Avenue in Hot Springs – Allegedly hid dope in her panties.

Dye was ran through dispatch and found to have a suspended drivers license.  Dye was also a parolee/probationer on active supervision with a search waiver on file.

Dye was asked to step out of the vehicle so a search could be conducted.  HSPD Sgt. LeeAnn Zaner was on scene and asked to conduct the physical search.

I, Sgt. LeeAnn Zaner responded to assist Officer Davis with his traffic stop.  He advised the defendant, Jessica Dye, the driver of the vehicle, had a suspended license and was a parolee/probationer with a valid search waiver on file.

Dye was acting jittery and evasive when I came over to assist with a search of her person.  I observed she was wearing a dress with tight cloth shorts underneath.  Nearing the top of Dye’s pubic area, a large hardened bulge was sticking outward.

I felt this was some kind of foreign object and looked beneath Dye’s panties and observed a plastic bag protruding from her vaginal area with a large white crystal like substance inside the bag.  I pulled on one of the hardened rocks from the outside of the bag and the remainder of the large bag came out of the inside of her vaginal area.

The substance was field tested and tested positive for the presumptive identification of methamphetamine.  It weighed 49.0 grams.

Dye was transported to Garland County Detention Center for processing.  Dye was given a traffic citation for careless and prohibited and driving on suspended.  SID (HSPD Special Investigation Division) responded and assumed the investigation.

Ms. Dye was charged with Felony Possession Of A Sch. I or II Controlled Substance with a bond amount totaling $10,000.
