The 18th East Judicial District Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Garland County Sheriff’s CID & Tactical Response Team, executed a search warrant at the Mountain Pine Corner Store at the corner of Mountain Pine Road/Glazypeau Road yesterday.
No details were released at the scene. However, since DTF was involved and drug charges resulted, the chances of this action being drug related is high.
A 2nd raid by the DTF/Sheriff’s TRT Combo was conducted nearly simultaneously at a residence on Loblolly Lane.
Sunny Ghotra Singh, 24, of Garland County was present and under arrest at the Loblolly location when I arrived on scene. Singh is charged with Residential Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, Simultaneous Possession Of Drugs & Firearms, Unauthorized Use Of Another Person’s Property To Facilitate A Crime, Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia x2, Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Purpose To Deliver, Theft By Receiving and Keeping A Gambling House.
Mr. Singh was the store owner that shot an alleged burglar in the face with a shotgun, blinding the suspect last month during an alleged burglary at this Corner Store Location. (CLICK HERE to go to the scene of the shooting)
Garland County Sheriff Mike McCormick expects to issue a press release addressing these events today.
