$2,000 Door Busted Into On Morrison Street..Alleged Theft; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

Hot Springs Police were dispatched to a residence on Morrison Street around 1:20PM on the afternoon of July/8/2019 for the call of a burglary in progress.

HSPD Officer Greene arrived and met with the victim who allegedly said that Brenda House, 44, of Shackleford Road in Royal, and 2 other people had been inside his home and removed items belonging to him.

Brenda House, 44, of Shackleford Road in Royal – allegedly busted into a house that she previously lived in to retrieve some of her property.

The suspects allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arriving.  The victim allegedly told police that he chased the suspects from inside the house to their awaiting car.  He says that he threw a rock at the fleeing suspect vehicle and broke the rear window.

As officers were investigating at the scene, Ms. House allegedly dropped off her co-suspects somewhere and then returned to the scene.  She allegedly advised officers that she had previously lived at this location and still had belongings here that she was attempting to recover.  She allegedly admitted to officers that she damaged the door and removed property.  Allegedly according to the victim, Ms. House has not lived here for weeks.

Off. Greene initially issued a citation charging Ms. House with Trespassing and Theft Of Property, but after understanding that the amount of damage to the fence and French doors fixture was in excess of $2,200, she was arrested and also charged with Felony Criminal Mischief with a bond amount of $2,500.
