Hot Springs Police Corporal Franklin investigated a 2 vehicle crash on Hobson Avenue at the 5th Street Intersection last night where 1 of the vehicles continued on after impact and struck the LifeNet Ambulance Building.

Evidence at the scene included tire marks on Hobson Avenue that suggests an impact occurred in the left lane of the 1 way street.  Damage to the vehicles indicates a sort of T-bone type crash with the front of the car striking the driver’s door of the SUV.  After impact, the SUV ran over a fire hydrant and came to final rest after breaching the exterior wall of the building.  After impact, the car continued north on 5th Street and came to final rest with the front against the lefthand curb.

Several LifeNet Medics arrived including an Ambulance Crew, the EMS Supervisor and the EMS General Manager for the Hot Springs Area.  Medics met with at least 1 person, but to the best of my knowledge, no one was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Traffic flow was interrupted on 5th Street for a short period.
