Evidence at the scene suggested that the Nissan Altima was traveling west, and that the Ford F-150 was traveling east. The F-150 was pulling a loaded boat trailer at the time of the crash.  One of the vehicles crossed the centerline resulting in the crash.  The Altima came to final rest down an embankment approximately 90 yards from the area of impact. The Ford F-150 (with loaded trailer still attached) came to final rest in the ditch, partially blocking the east bound lane.

Piney Fire Troops arrived quickly.  they assisted with patient care, debris clean-up and traffic control.

A LifeNet Ambulance Crew was dispatched to the scene, but did not transport anyone to the hospital.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 45 minutes.
